Aged Ex-Slave passes away in his 92nd year. Was Familiar Figure about Mt. Pleasant where he has long lived. Funeral from Second Baptist Church.

Fred Harrison, one of the oldest men of this town and one of the most respected of the colored citizens, passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 92 years. The funeral for this old gentleman will be held at the Second Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon at half past two o'clock. Interment will be in Forest Home. Mr. Harrison will be remembered by most of our people. He was one of the old slaves who still survive the the flight of years.
