Miss Ethel Hunt, 95, Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, August 1, 1985 at 12:07 A.M. at the Long Term Care Unit, Henry County Health Center.

She was born July 18, 1890 at Pella, the daughter of Dr. John Peter and Alice Sexton Hunt. Miss Hunt was a member of the First United Methodist Church, its December Circle, James Harlan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and, for 30 years, was a teacher in the New London schools. She had served on the Mt. Pleasant Public Library Board nad had held many offices in the state and county Republican Party.

Surviving are her sister, Mrs. Anna Reschly, Parkview Home, Wayland; many nieces and newphews. Her parents, a sister, Alice Hunt, five brothers, Arthur, James, Paul, Walter and Maynard preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Saturday August 3 at 1 P.M. at the Beatty Funeral Home. The Rev. George White of the First United Methodist Church will officiate with interment in the Forest Home Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 10 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church Library or the Mt. Pleasant Public Library.
