Aged Man Dies at Son's Home
New London--Jonah Wilson, 91 year old resident of New London, died June 12 at 1:30 a.m. at the home of his son, Clarence Wilson, located four miles south of Lowell. Wilson had suffered a stroke several weeks ago. The son of Alexander and Caroline Reason Wilson, he was born Jan. 5, 1857, in Green County, Ohio. He was married at Salem to Mary M. Graham on July 25, 1880. She died Jan. 19, 1921. Wilson was a member of the Methodist Church. In addition to the son at whose home he died, he is survived by the following children: Herbert Wilson, Spokane, WA; Elmer Wilson, Sprague, WA; Mrs. Jessie Braiwick, Seattle, WA; and Mrs. Bertha McFarland, of Bridgeport, NE. Also surviving are a brother and sister, William Wilson, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Jennie Martin, of Ft. Leavenworth, KS. There are 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A son, Ora Wilson, died Dec. 7, 1936. Last rites will be held at the Elliott Chapel at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Dr. F. W. Eastwood, pastor of the New London Presbyterian Church, will officiate and burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, near Lowell.
