A.L. BREAZEALE FUNERAL RITES HELD
~Services At Methodist Church Tuesday Afternoon With Rev. Osborn In Charge~

Many friends and relatives gathered at the First Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock at which time funeral services for the late A.L. Breazeale were held. The presence of so many friends and the beautiful flowers sent were sufficient evidence of a high esteem in which the deceased was held.

The services were in charge of Dr. Thomas Osborn, pastor of the Methodist church and were fitting and appropriate for the occasion. Three beautiful hymns were sung by a mixed quartet composed of Mesdames Paul B. Galer and J. T. McConnaughay and Messrs M. S. Cromer and W. C. Dennis, who were accompanied by Mrs. Dan Winter. The songs sung were "No tears Up Yonder", "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "No Night There."

At the conclusion of the services at the church the funeral party went to Pleasant Hill cemetery southeast of town where interment took place. Messrs B.E. Horr, Wm. Luzadder, T. B. Parker, J. D. Card, U. S. Alter and Wm. Hall were the pall bearers.

Relatives from a distance were, a son Melvin Breazeale of Modesto, Calif.; Delbert and Lois Breazeale of Ames, grandchildren; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Little of Fairfield and William Breazeale of Albia.

ALBERT LENORE BREAZEALE
Albert Lenore, son of Robert H. and Elizabeth Wells Breazeale, was born March 28, 1856, near Montrose, Iowa, in Lee county and passed away at his home in Mt. Pleasant, April 12, 1930, being at the time of his death 74 years and 15 days of age. He was of a family of nine children, all having preceded him in death except one brother. At the age of eight years, he with his parents moved to Johnston county, Iowa, where they lived for six years, moving back to Henry county where he had since resided.

In the year of 1908 he retired from farming and moved to his present home on East Monroe street. In 1878 he was united in marriage to Sarah C. Saums of Boylston, Iowa, who preceded him in death in September, 1910. To this union seven children were born, one daughter, Mary Ethel, died in early infancy.

In the year of 1912 he was again united in marriage to Harriet E. Hunter, who was an ever faithful companion, and with his six children, Dora May Reineke, Sarah Elizabeth Cook, Anna Dell Wallingford, William Melvin, all of Modesto, California; Ernest Wilmer of Salem, Iowa; Frances Gertrude Wallingford of Bonaparte, Iowa; one step-son, Mark E. Hunter, of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, William, of Albia, Iowa, a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews are left to mourn his untimely death.

At the age of 22 years he united with the Protestant Methodist church of Greenwood, Iowa, being the class leader for a number of years, later transferring his membership to the M. E. church at Mt. Pleasant, where he attended until failing health prevented, he being a consistent believer of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Al" as most every one knew him, was a loving husband and father, a true neighbor and friend. He belonged to the Modern Woodmen of America; also the Odd Fellows where he enjoyed a large circle of friends.

For almost three years his health had been failing, his faithful wife and children did all that could be done, but to no avail. He will be sadly missed in the home and by all who knew him for to know him was to love him.
