Robert Ray Blunk, 61, of New London, Iowa, and formerly of Martinsville died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, in Iowa City Medical Center. He was born April 10, 1935, in Parker Township, Clark County to Ernest Blunk and Mary Jane Newlin Blunk. Survivors include two sons, Tony Blunk and Michael Blunk; three daughters, Tena Birkon, Anna Cooper and Lorie Van Amrowgen; his mother; two brothers, Charles Blunk and Clifford Blunk; three sisters, Rita Cooper, Barbara Spraggins and Estella Bradford; and eight grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. CST Monday in Elliott Funeral Chapel in New London. Burial is in Burlington, Iowa. Visitation is noon until 8 p.m. Sunday. Greenwell Funeral Home assisted locally.
