Albert McCabe, 81, dies Saturday; rites held Tuesday

Albert Franklin McCabe, 81, of New London died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in Burlington Medical center.

He was born Aug. 23, 1894, at New London, the son of Benjamin and Alice Wellington McCabe. He married Gladys Groves May 14, 1916 in New London.

He was a retired farmer and painter and was a member of the New London Church of Christ.

Surviving are his widow, a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tureday in Elliott Chapel. The Rev. Sam Kemp officiated.
Mrs. Nella Elliott was organist.

Bearers were Robert Johnson, Donald Hohnson, Milo McCabe, Carroll Johnson, Robert McCabe and Bill McCabe.

Interment was in Burge cemetery.
