Winfield Beacon, November 14, 1930
Death Beckons Georgia E. Honts
The funeral of little Georgia Honts was held at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Babcock. Sunday afternoon at two thirty, in the presence of relaitives and friends. Mrs. C.W. Larkin, Mrs. Emily Larkin and Mrs. J. Ed Pierce furnished the music singing several appropriate hymns. Rev. Milton E. Nethercut of the Methodist church was in charge of the services. He spoke kind words of the little life that has passed on adding a sympathetic note to the bereaved parents which will stengthen them to hold up under the strain of their great loss.
Georgia was born in Washington Court House, Ohio, July 22, 1924 and passed away in Winfield Saturday morning November 5, following a severe case of Mastold aged six years three months and sixteen days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Roy Honts. The family moved to Winfield about three months ago.
Georgia was a sweet little girl. She was in kindergarten at school. Her playmates are going to miss her greatly as will her teacher Miss Miller. Unfortunately Georgia was not of a very strong consitution due to an illness about a year ago and when Mastold set in her weakened condition permitted the disease to gain such headway its control was impossible. She suffered patiently until death quieted the pain and her soul retuned to its Maker.
M.C. Barton bore the remains to the Winfield cemetery and tenderly laid it to rest in that City of the Dead where peace reigs supreme.
The sympathy of many friends goes out largely to the sorrowing parents and near relatives who fell the loss of little Georgia most.
