Mrs. Babcock Rites Friday
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. Myrtle Inez Babcock 73, who passed away last Tuesday evening at 7:30 after a long illness.
The services were held at the Open Bible Church with the Rev. Lowell Chandler officiating. Mrs. Everet Raushengerger was the organist and Mrs. Carl Wiley the soloist. Burial was in Winfield Scott Cemetery. In charge of Barton's Service. The pallbearers were Collier Stevens, Alva McCwaw, Elmus Brenneman, Lloyd Widmer, Dwitht Mathews and Carl Wiley.
Mrs. Babcock is survived by three sons; Roy Honts (by previous marriage) Ora Babcock and Z.E. Babcock all of Winfield; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Sherman of Silvis, Illinois, Mrs Ella Mae Mundel of Rossie, Iowa and Mrs Gilbert Schenk of Winfield, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
