Friday Service for Mrs. Edith Carlson

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Union Methodist church for Mrs. Edith Laura Carlson, 63, Mrs. Carlson was killed when struck bt the wing tip of a plane landing in the road in front of their farm home Tuesday.

The Rev. Richard Mohl will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity cemetery. The body is at Elliot chapel, New London.

Mrs. Carlson was born Dec. 13, 1902, in Mt. Union, the daughter of Henry Harlan and Maggie May Young Mathews. On Feb. 14, 1923. she married Hilmer Carlson in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Methodist church and Chapter 517, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving: The husband, a daughter, Mrs. Warren(Dorothy)Wilkerson, of Morning Sun; a son, Gale Carlson of Morning Sun; seven grandchildren, and two brothers, John and Hugh Mathews, Mt. Pleasant.
