Charles M. Robertson

Charles M. Robertson, New London, died in Burlington Hospital April 29 at 3:30 P.M. He was a long time resident of Des Moines and Henry counties.

Robertson was the son of James and Mary Mathews Robertson and was born near Danville on August 15, 1868. On December 12, 1896 he was married to Irene Holland who died September 7, 1948.

Surviving are a son and two daughters: Leland Robertson, Oakville; Lucille Robertson, Chicago; and Cleo Robertson, New London. Also surviving are a brother, Henry Robertson of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Mrs. Harry Hamilton, Mt. Union, and two grandchildren.

Services were held at the New London Methodist church, Monday afternoon. Rev. Paul McDade officiated and burial was in Burge Cemetery.
