MRS. WILL DYALL TAKEN BY DEATH

Health Had Failed In Recent Months

Mrs. Will Dyall, 74, in failing health the last several months, died at the Dyall home on North Main street, Sunday evening about 8:30. While she had spent much of Sunday lying down, she had been in about her usual health of the last few weeks.

Sunday evening as she was assisted to her bed by Mr. Dyall, her weakened heart failed and she passed away suddenly.

Until her health failed, Mrs. Dyall had spent much of her time in writing and some of her poems had been published. She greatly enjoyed writing and found comfort and satisfaction in expressions both in prose and poetry.

She and Mr. Dyall were married at Clarinda in 1896. They had been residents of Mt. Pleasant since that time. One son, Thomas Dyall, of Ottumwa; two brothers, Lee R. Thomas of Fort Dodge and Charles Thomas of Seattle, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. James Shum of Clarinda survive; also a grandson, William Dyall, who has been residing with his grandparents while he attended school.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Cookes Funeral Home.
