Freda Mathews

Mrs. Freda Mathews, 87, of Mt. Union, Rt. 1, died at 3:55 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Maple Leaf Health Center, Mt. Pleasant.

She was born July 18, 1898, at Mt. Union, to George and Ida Ackerson Roth. She married Milo W. Mathews on Aug. 28 1918. She was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Stan, Mt. Union; a daughter, Helen Morris, West Palm Beach, Fla., seven grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.

Private family services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the family's plot in Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, the Rev. Dick Clark officiating. Memorials for the Maple Leaf Center may be left at the Beatty - Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant
