Scott Brian White, 20, of 1008 Shepard Drive, Mount Pleasant, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound noon Thursday, April 21, 1988, at his home.
Born Sept. 20, 1967, in Burlington, he was the son of James and Kathry Warning White.
He was a member of the Church of the Open Bible and a graduate of the Institute of Cosmetology of Arts Inc., Ft. Madison. He was employed with Alaniz and Sons, Mount Pleasant.
Surviving are his mother, Mount Pleasant; his father, Fort Madison; two sisters, Christine White, Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Darci(Jim)Golotko, Gilbert, Ariz.; his grandparents, Dale and Betty White, Mount Pleasant, and Juanita Johnson, Newton; and his great-grandmother, Mrs. Velda White, Washington.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.
The service for Mr. White will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Revs. Donald Messer and Hugh Shively officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
