Birdie Case

Birdie Marie Case of Maple Leaf Care Center in Mount Pleasant, died at 4:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 1999.

Born in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Cornelius and Bertha Nickelson Case.

Miss Case was a member of the Congregational-Universalist Church, the founder of Kitchen Klatter band and was a flower designer for many years for the former Bud's Flower Shop.

She raised her niece Margaret Case and her nephew Charles Case in her home.

Survivors include two nephews, Charles Case of Lincoln, Neb., and Everett Wayne Case of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and one niece, Ruth Solberg of Jackson, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday in Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday.

The funeral for Miss Case will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Beatty Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles U. Tweed officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Congregational-Universalist Church.
