Steven Staley
Steven Alexander Staley, 42, of New London died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at his home.
Born Dec. 8, 1963, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Frank and Joyce Westerbeck Staley. On Sept. 28, 1984, he married Regina Parks in New London.
Mr. Staley was a distribution manager at the Wal-Mart warehouse in Mount Pleasant.
He was a 1982 graduate of New London High School. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River and gardening.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Cale Staley of New London; one daughter, Tyson Wintermeyer of New London; his parents of New London; and one sister, Sheli Murphey of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.
The memorial service for Mr. Staley will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel in New London. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery in New London.
A memorial has been established for his son's education.
