Mrs. John Luellen Rites Held Monday

Services At Baptist Church For Former Resident Of Mt. Pleasant

Short funeral services for Mrs. John E. Luellen, 58, who died at her home, 1405 Thul street, Burlington, Saturday morning, were held at the residence at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. C. H. Zummach, pastor of Oak street Baptist church, officiating. At 2:30 services were held at the First Baptist church, here, with Mrs. Rachel Wormhoudt officiating. Burial was at Rome, Iowa.

Mrs. Luellen’s death followed an illness of 11 weeks.

Her maiden name was Dora B. Tracy and she was born at Rome, Ia., June 28, 1874. She was married to John E. Luellen Sept. 14, 1892, and they moved to Burlington where they lived a short time. Then they moved to Mt. Pleasant where they lived until nine years ago, when they again moved to Burlington. Mrs. Luellen was a member of the Baptist church of this city.

She is survived by her husband, one son, John Luellen, Jr., of Burlington, and four daughters, Miss Ruth Luellen and Mrs. Meda Hills of Burlington, Mrs. Mae Fields of near West Burlington and Mrs. Cecil E. White of near Rome.
