A. H. JACKMAN PASSES AWAY.

A. H. Jackman, an aged and well known citizen of this place, died at 7:30 o’clock, Friday, June 16, 1899, of cancer of the stomach.

Mr. Jackman has been ailing for a long time but has only been confined to his room but a few weeks. At time of going to press arrangements for the funeral had not been made.

Deceased was born at Greenfield, Pa., February 6, 1826. He removed with his parents to Lee county, Iowa, in 1844, and was married to Rebecca Abraham at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, November 18, 1852. He removed to Nebraska with his family in 1877 and located at Blair, Washington county. He came to Louisville the fall of 1878. He leaves a devoted wife and four children to mourn the loss of a faithful husband and a kind father, the children being Mrs. Etta Harrison and Mrs. Lottie Ryan of York, Neb., Mrs. Ida Eyberth of Duluth, Minn., and J. M. Jackman of this place.

The sympathy of many friends go out to the grief stricken wife and children in this their hour of bereavement.
