Funeral service for Don. E. Millspaugh second Henry County man in the U.S.military service to die while in training was attended by hundreds of Friends and relatives Sunday. The service was the largest ever held at the Crane Funeral Home.

The young army man was fatally injured while assiting with the cutting down of a tree at Camp Stevens, Oregon last week. The soldier who accompanied the body as a ilitary escort reported the tree which was being felled jumped sideways some 12 to 15 feet when it struck the ground and hit Millspaugh.
Rev.Overstom of Lckridge a friend of Don said in his funeral sermon that" As much as the boys at
Pearl Harbor and Wake, Don gave his all for the protection of us at home."
A quartet composed of Lloyd, Estes,Guy E Mc Lean,
Milton Hoelzen, and Sam Ewart sang two songs. Mrs. Dan Winter was at the organ.
Members of the American Legion attended the service and the firing squad took part in the firing ceremony at the grave at Oakland Mills Cemetery. Survivng the accident victim are his parents and two brothers Merrill and Charles.
He had spent several days at home over the holidays.
