Cheryl Lynn Osborne, 55, formerly of Wayland, died of congestive heart failure on Dec. 30, 2003, at Kindred Hospital in Chicago.

Born April 20, 1948, she was the daughter of Ralph and Beulah Osborne.

Ms. Osborne worked as a nurse's aide at the McCreedy Home and United Presbyterian Home for many years. She later retired from That Cellular Place and moved to Chicago due to health.

She was a 1967 graduate of Wayland High School. She was a member of Wayland Eastern Star Lodge 494 for 37 years, holding numerous offices including past worthy matron.

Survivors include one daughter, Tina; two granddaughters; two brothers, Ralph Osborne of Brighton and Robert Osborne of Davenport; one sister, Mary Lou Swailes of New London; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Ms. Osborne will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wayland City Hall. The family asks you bring a small token of remembrance to make a memory collage.
