Elmer L. Billingsley, 73, of Olds, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born Dec. 19, 1930, in East Moline, Ill., he was the son of George and May DeSpain Billingsley. On Aug. 10, 1952, he married Joyce Wells in Calamus.

Mr. Billingsley was a timber buyer and logger.

He enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Vicki Dauge of Miles, Diane Joy and Cheryl Billingsley, both of New London, Kathleen Billingsley of Wayland and Jill Egley of Washington; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lu Ellen Brereton of Silvis, Ill., and Lydia Carpio of Milan, Ill.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral for Mr. Billingsley will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gibson Funeral Home in Port Byron, Ill. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Port Byron.
