A.H. Lamm, Here For Visit, Dies Suddenly At Hotel

Allison [sic: Alson] Harvey Lamm, 74, Prescott, Ariz., was found dead in his room at the Hotel Harlan about 11 a.m. Friday. He was a former Henry county resident.

Mr. Lamm arrived here by bus from Peoria, Ill., Thursday afternoon. After visiting relatives here he retired to his hotel room. When found about 11 a.m. Friday he was fully clothed and was apparently getting ready to go to breakfast when he was stricken. County Coroner Hugh Dellner said that death was evidently due to a heart attack.

Mr. Lamm had been living in Prescott, Ariz., with his son, Robert. He came to Peoria with his daughter, Mrs. Dale Maust and her husband of Oakland, Calif., to visit relatives. He then took the bus here.

Allison [sic: Alson] Harvey Lamm, the son of Albert and Martha [Frazer] Lamm, was born at Denova, south of Oakland Mills, Nov. 17, 1883.

Surviving are seven sons, Rex, Delbert, Harold and Ralph, all of Mt. Pleasant; Robert of Prescott, Arizona; Walter of Fairfield and George of Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Wilson, Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Dale Maust, Oakland, Calif.; and two sisters, Iola Lamm of Mt. Pleasant [Mr. Lamm's twin] and Mrs. Lecta Hallowell of Salem. A son, Bert; a daughter, Ruth Hester, and a brother preceded him in death.

The body is at the Crane funeral home. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
