Lucy Elizabeth Parker-Callison, 75, of New London, formerly of Wayland, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Born Nov. 27, 1925, in Keokuk, she was the daughter of John and Nellie Hawkins Daines. In 1945, she married Joe Carson in Danville. She later married Albert George Parker Sr. on July 5, 1949, in Mount Pleasant. He died March 4, 1967. She married William H. Callison on Sept. 7, 1979, in Stockton.

Mrs. Parker-Callison attended elementary schools in Fort Madison and Argyle and was a graduate of Monroe High School. She lived in Tallulah, La., and returned to Iowa in 1969, living in the Mount Pleasant, Stockton and Wayland communities. She lived in New London for the past three years. She was a homemaker. She worked at Sheaffer Pen Corp. and later at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant for 91/2 years.

She was a member of Wayland Independent Bible Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed crocheting tablecloths and doilies, attending craft shows, traveling, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Shirley Kinney of Mount Pleasant, Sally Haines of Mount Union and Suzi Blomgren of Whittier, Calif.; three sons, Glenn Carson of Onalaska, Wis., and Albert Parker II and David Parker, both of Newton; one brother, Dennis Daines of Hamilton, Ill.; six sisters, Betty Timm of Omaha, Neb., Charlotte Stalder of Washington, Iowa, June Carver of Trenton, Elizabeth Glover of Lockridge, Ruby Morgan of Keokuk and Darlene Smith of Urbandale; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her second husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Parker-Callison will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Independent Bible Church in Wayland, with Pastors Robert Wolf and Roger Wilkins officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery, west of Wayland. A memorial has been established for her church.
