WAPELLO, Iowa - Gertrude Margaret Anderson, 90, of Wapello, formerly of rural Winfield and Grandview, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at the Wapello Nursing and Rehab Center, Wapello.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at the First Presbyterian Church, Wapello. The Rev. Mary N. Pugh will officiate. Musical selections will provided by organist Betty McChesney. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery.
Visitation is noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. A memorial fund has been established to benefit the First Presbyterian Church, Wapello.
Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 15, 1913, in Port Louisa, the daughter of Harry and Margaret Wiese Anderson. She married Herman L. Anderson Nov. 27, 1935, in Burlington. He preceded her in death March 28, 1978.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed helping her husband on the farm. She was of the Methodist faith and had been a member of the former Order of Eastern Star No. 413, Winfield.
Survivors include a brother, Lewis Kammerer of Wapello; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, William Kammerer and Carl Peterson; and a sister, Iona Tisor.
