Ridinger, Leonard W. 83 yrs. old of Mt. Pleasant, Ia., died Monday November 24, 1997 at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, Ia. Born: August 3, 1914 in Henry County, Ia. Parents: William W. and Nora E. Shumaker Ridinger. Married: Margaret A. Leydens on October 1, 1938. She preceded him in death. Married: Thelma B. Messer Hendricks at Fairfield on July 1, 1966. She survives.

Survivors include: his second wife; two sons, John W. of rural Mt. Pleasant, Ia., and Larry L. of Trenton, Ia.; two stepsons, Robert E. Hendricks of Tulsa, Ok., and Richard W. Hendricks of Salem, Ia.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Moore of Ames, Ia.; two sisters, Emma Cooper of New London, Ia., and Freda Lanferman of Houston, Tx. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; one son, Emmett Ridinger, one stepson, Roxie Hendricks; two grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert and Floyd; one sister, Betty Nadeau. Interment will be in Green Mound Cemetery, Trenton, Ia.
