Huston, John M. "Sam" a Lt. Col. Of USAF, Ret., 72 years of age, formerly of Olds, Iowa died Friday June 20, 1997, at San Antonio, Texas. Born: October 1, 1924 in Olds, Iowa. Parents: Basil E. and Clara M. Miller Huston. Married Beverly Cloutier on March 28, 1948 at Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
Survivors include: his wife of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Jeff; two daughters, Pat Blackwood and Gail Ellis; one brother, Richard of Jacksonville, Florida; four sisters, Dorothy Keith of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Rosemary Haserodt of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Miriam Pike of Aptos, California, and Dayl Theobald of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, James, Gayle, Basil, John, and Ronald; two sisters, Marjorie Huston, and JoAnn Letsch.
Interment in Fort Sam Huston National Cemetery with full military honors.
