Christine Hegmann died August 30, 1997 in Galveston, Texas. She was born September 10, 1910, in Wayland, Iowa, to Chris and Vaugn (Davis) Schlatter. She married William F. Hegmann JR. in 1940 in Galveston.

She is survived by: a son William F. Hegmann, III; three sisters, Vaugn Rinner, Jean Hann, Lorraine Suter, Crawfordsville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1978; a brother Joe Davis Schlatter, and a sister Dorothy Enders. A memorial service took place in Galveston.

Cremains will be buried at a later date in Wayland.
