Emmet (Rusty) Ross, 77 of Mt. Union died Friday, Aug 1, 1980 at 5:55 p.m. at the Henry County Health Center. Born Feb. 21, 1903 in Jefferson County, he wasthe son of Wilburn and Anna May Egli Ross. On Oct. 16, 1929 at Mt. Pleasant he married Lorene Carper.

Mr. Ross. a retired barber, worked for 32 years in Washington, Mt. Pleasant, and Mt. Union. He was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, three brothers, Orlendes, (Pat), and Ileth, both of Mt. Pleasant and Lester of Trenton, and a sister, Mrs. Ina Mathews of Mt. Pleasant. His parents and a brother, Wayne, preceded him in death.

Funeral sevices will be held Monday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. Pastor Joseph Ricks, Mt Union Methodist Church, will officiate with interment in the Green Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call as they desire after 9 a.m. Sunday.

A memorial to the Green Mound Cemetery Association has been established.
