EAGLE HOTEL.
The Undersigned takes this method of informing the public that he has opened a HOUSE OF ENTERTAINMENT at the stand formerly known as the “Mount Pleasant House,” where he will accommodate all who may call upon him, at least as well as is common in the west. The House having under gone thorough repair, the proprietor flatters himself that he will be able to give general satisfaction, and therefore solicits a share of public patronage.
In connection with the House is a large STABLE, well filled with the best Timothy Hay, and every thing necessary to make a horse comfortable and fit him for service.
The subscriber is also prepared to carry passengers to any point, when or where the Stage is not running.
J. BOWMAN.
Mt. Pleasant, July 27, 1846.[Undated, unnamed newspaper clipping, probably “Burlington Hawk Eye”, July 1846]
