The will of D.L. Cookes was admitted to probate Thursday afternoon on the testimony of Clifford M. Vance.
The will was drawn up in October, 1927, and was witnessed by Kenneth A. Nelson and O.H. Walner. A codicil to the will was made on April 27, 1948, and was witnessed by Clifford M. Vance and Irene Dodds.
The original will left the entire estate to his wife, Nellie R. Cookes who was also named as executrix. A stipulation in the will stated that in the case of his wife preceded him in death the estate was to be divided between two sons, Leigh and Robert.
The codicil made only minor changes.
