The re-union of the FIRST IOWA at Burlington, on Tuesday, was an enjoyable time. W.P. HOWE, of this city, read the re-union poem which was received with great enthusiasm. Colonel A.B. PORTER of this city, occupied a carriage in the procession. He was Major of the regiment and in the terrible engagement at Wilson Creek. In spite of feeble health, he was bound to meet with the boys once more. On motion of Gen. Geo. A. STONE, Miss Lizzie ARROWSMITH was elected daughter of the regiment. The next re-union will be held at Cedar Rapids, on August 10, 1885.
