THE AIRDOME TO OPEN MONDAY

BIG OPEN SHOW WILL BEGIN BUSINESS WITH ANGEL’S COMEDIANS.

Seating Capacity to Accommodate Six Hundred People-
Airdome is One of the Best in This Part of the State.

The Mt. Pleasant Airdome will have its opening on next Monday night when Angel’s Comedians will occupy the state in comedy drama.

Many people have not been noticing what a well planned, well made and elaborate structure the Airdome built by Mr. Fred Cooper is. The work on it has been rapidly progressing for the last three weeks and is now completed.

The whole thing is under the open sky, with the exception of the operating box for the moving picture machine and the stage. The dome is situated inside the enclosure on the south side of West Monroe street just a half block west of the square. The stage will face the north, and is built against the old brick house on the lot, so that the rooms of the building are to be used as dressing rooms for the stage people. The stage is twenty feet deep and thirty-six feet wide; the opening is twelve feet high and twenty-two feet wide.

The seating arrangements are circus style. In the center are the reserved seats and on three sides are the terraced seats. In short, the Airdome seats are arranged just the same as a tent theater, only are much more comfortable and substantial.

The operating box of the picture machine is built at the rear of the seats.

The scenery has arrived and is being put into position and by this evening everything will be ready for the opening Monday night. The entire show grounds and stage is equipped with electric lights.

The Airdome will furnish a cool, safe place for an evening’s amusement for Mt. Pleasant people this summer and without doubt will be a popular one.
