MRS. BECKWITH WILL SETS UP TRUST FUNDS
Income From Her Estate Will Go To Score of Survivors

San Diego, Calif. -- Because she was "blessed with the world's goods", Miss Martha McClure of Mt. Pleasant, Ia. today was omitted from the will of Mrs. Sarah Porter Beckwith on file here.

Mrs. Beckwith, wealthy former Aurora, Ill., and Mount Pleasant, Ia., resident died at La Jolla, Calif. December 17, leaving an estate from which income will go to a score of survivors.

Besides Miss McClure, who is Republican national committeewoman from Iowa, May McClure Kelly, of Washington, D. C., Robert T. Beckwith and Mary Lincoln Beckwith, both of Cedar Crest, New Mexico, were omitted from the will for the same reason.

The will stated that another relative, Robert Porter was "purposely omitted", but did not give the reason.

The Beckwith will set up two trust funds, one of 3,008 shares in the Western Austin Company and the Aurora Foundry and the other of 3,008 shares of the Western Austin.

Income from the first will go to Emily Gardner [sic: Garner?], a niece, and Warren Wallace Beckwith, nephew, of Cedar Crest, N. Mex. Beneficiaries of the second fund are: James E. Beckwith of Montreal, Canada, Sue Van Nortwich of Geneva, Ill., John Beckwith of Los Angeles, Luzenia Redpath of LaJolla, Warren Beckwith of LaJolla, Phillip Beckwith of LaJolla, Warren Beckwith, Jr. of Cedar Crest, N. Mex. and Emily, Ned and Nancy Lutz of Los Angeles.

A gift of $5,000 was made to Ruth Hicks of LaJolla, one of $2,500 to Emily Hedgcock, and $500 to an employee, Paul Root.

The will provided that anything remaining would be divided in thirteenths and kept in trust. Two-thirteenths each was allotted Luzenia Porter of LaJolla, Julia Bergman of Eloajon [ElCajon?], Ruth Grady of Los Angeles and Martha Ann Judd of LaJolla, and one-thirteenth each was allotted A.D. Porter, D.A. Porter, R. A. Porter, B. M. Porter and Richard Porter.
