DUNLAP
The many friends of Thomas Munnley were shocked to know of his sudden death Monday Mr. Munnley had not been feeling well and he went uptown to consult with a doctor and on his way home was stricken down with heart failure.
Thomas Munnley was born in Mayo County, Ireland in 1842 and died May, 1914. Besides his widow and son by former marriage he leaves three daughters; Katharine, who lives at home, Mary V. who teaches in Toledo, Ohio, Anna, who teaches in Council Bluffs and a son Michael who teaches in Toledo, Ohio to mourn his loss and miss the council of a good Christian father. MR. Munnley was a man of staunch integrity and sober industrious habits that could be well emulated by the young men growing up. The sincere sympathy of the community goes to his family who will not only sorrow for the death of the husband and father but grieve for the sudden call in death and their inability to be with him to minister to him in the end.
The funeral was held from St. Patrick’s Church Thursday, May 28th, 1914 and interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
