Hi Doug,

I do subscribe to ancestory.com and I had 4 hits for old newspapers for Raymond Bowell. Unfortunately I don't think any of them are going to be of help to you.

I need to explain something about the old newspapers online through ancestory. When researching a name, a hit for one of the papers can be indicated if the two names entered (first and last name) appear on the same page of the paper see example one below. Other times, a hit will be indicated when you have a similar name as in example 2.

Washington Post, The (Washington, D.C.), 1920, 1922-24 > 1924 > March > 30

Cruelty is charged against John W. Bowell, said to be a Shipping Board auditor, in a petition for a limited divorce filed by Mrs. Olive M. Bowell, Southern apartments, through Attorney Raymond Neudecker. Mrs. Bowell was married May 4, 1919.

Raymond and Bowell appear in the article above but the article has nothing to do with Raymond Bowell.

Bucks County Gazette (Bristol, Pennsylvania) > 1906 > May > 10

A section of land transfers the part you are interested in is: William G. Howell to Raymond Harrop, April 21, 1906, lot, $125.

Howell is close to Bowell and the name Raymond appears in the article, but again this article has nothing to do with a Raymond Bowell.

The remaining two articles are about a Raymond Bowell but don't appear to be about your Raymond Bowell.

Indiana Evening Gazette (Indiana, Pennsylvania) > 1947 > February > 10

Rescuer Revealed

Gloucester, N.J. Feb. 10 (AP) -- Raymond Bowell, 16 rescued Billy Martin, 9, from the icy waters of Martin Lake and then in turn had to be pulled from 25 feet of water by another companion whose name was not learned.

The Martin boy crashed through the ice while trying to retrieve a girl's shed which had been pulled out from the shore by older boys
