Hi Susie,

You mentioned a daughter's obit saying that she was born in Webster City -- that's in Hamilton County. Are you sure that he lived in Hardin county from 1853 to about 1870? I've found a William Sibert in census material for both 1860 and 1870 in Hamilton county and that's where the daughter was supposed to have been born.

There are a number of William Sibert's in Iowa, it would help to have a birth year for him and children's names if you have them to determine that information on the right family can be provided.
