Krause and Asher families

I am searching for information on my ancestors, Frank or Franz Krause and his wife, Johanna. At the turn of the 20th century, my great-grandfather was the street sweeper in Eldora. Both he and his wife were foreign-born, either Germany or the Austro-Hungaran Empire. A son, Frank, was also born abroad and he and the mother joined the father in Iowa a few years after my great-grandpa immigrated. From my mother's generation collective memories, the immigrant generation never learned English. My grandmother, Augusta, had two older sisters all born in Hardin county; Hanna or Johanna and Minerva or Wilhemina. If you know anything about my family in Iowa, I would love your information.

The Ashers are another side of the family with deep history in Hardin, Marshall, and Tama counties. Again, looking for any help on the family.
