We may have a link here. Proving it is another thing.
My Great Great Grandfather was Ezra L. Fowler, bn 1842 in Ohio. It is possible your George Fowler, bn 1851, could have been his younger brother.
Ezra named his first son George Albert Fowler, bn 1868, in Missouri and his second son was Edward T. Fowler, bn 1870, in Missouri. By 1872 Ezra was in Iowa and stayed there until 1875.3rd son was Ezra L. Fowler, Jr, bn 1872, Iowa, followed by David Albert Fowler in 1874, bn Iowa.
The names...Florence, Ethel, and Ray (Raymond) are prominent in my Fowler family. Raymond, bn 1904, was my father. He was the son of Robert William Fowler, bn 1877 to Ezra L. Fowler.
I may have the 1880 census record for your John Fowler, but the residence area is New York, not Iowa. The names are John G. Fowler, wife..Emma Fowler, ..children..Willard C., Cora E., George R. Fowler. Also Amy Campbell as Mother in Law. What do you think?
Is "Ted" short for Theodore or just Ted?
