Wilma Terveer, 86, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Hubbard Care Center, Hubbard, Iowa. Funeral services for Wilma Terveer are pending with the Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel.

Wilma Terveer, 86, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 8, 2008, at the Hubbard Care Center, Hubbard, Iowa, where she had made her home the last 11 years. Funeral services for Wilma Terveer will be 11:00 am Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with Reverend Carol Myers officiating. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. The family will hold a private interment at a later date at the Berlin Cemetery, Jackson Township, Hardin County, Iowa. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Wilma Leone Polley was born March 7, 1922 in her parents farm home in Jackson Township, Hardin County, Iowa. She attended the Owasa Community School graduating with the class of 1939. On April 12, 1958, Wilma was united in marriage to Clarence Earl Terveer at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born: Nancy and Susan. Wilma worked as a switchboard operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. Iowa Falls and was a cook for the Hardin County Home for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, cake decorating, and collecting recipes. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls.

Wilma Terveer is survived by her daughters: Nancy [Curtis] Schwartz of Hubbard, Iowa, and their children: Joelle, Aaron, and Julie of Hubbard; Susan Terveer [Samuel] Mullins and their children: of Iowa City, Iowa, and their children: Nathan Mullins of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Evan Mullins of Iowa City; and one brother: Charles [Irene] Polley of Marshalltown, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Esther Polley; her husband: Clarence Terveer; her siblings: infant twins: Merle and Elizabeth Polley, Harlan Polley, Donald Polley, Doris Sinning, and Emma Hoekstra.
