D'Vere Braga, 101, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012. Funeral services for D'Vere Braga will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, with Reverend David Werges officiating. A time of visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Friday, April 6th at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family; c/o his daughter: Daune Schwebke, 406 Ohio Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

D'Vere Braga was born June 19, 1910, at Iowa Falls, Iowa, the son of Irvin Welcomb and Mary Marcella [Courtney] Braga. He attended the Iowa Falls Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1930. On December 5, 1931, D'Vere was united in marriage to Leona Dora Marie Eisentrager at Eldora, Iowa. D'Vere operated an automobile dealership called I. W. Braga and Sons with his father and sons for many years. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran church, Iowa Falls and was a former member of the Iowa Falls Kiwanis Club.

D'Vere is survived by his children: Daune Marie [Keith] Schwebke of Iowa Falls, James Braga of Eldora, Iowa, Ronald [Wallis] Braga of Iowa Falls, Sheri Ann [Archie] Steenhard of Ames, Iowa, Frances Lee [Ronald] Meyer of Iowa Falls, Steven [Pamela] Braga of Iowa Falls; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one brother: Marvin [Marjorie] Braga of Marshalltown, Iowa; and one sister: Beulah Patton of Hampton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father: Irvin Braga; his mother: Mary Marcella Courtney Braga; his step-mother: Isabelle Nelson Braga; his wife: Leona Braga; twin children: Deniese (infant 1933) Braga and Gary Braga (1952); a granddaughter: Jill Kristen Braga; and two brothers: Stanley Braga and Vincent Braga.
