Solomon Ressor Dead

Union, Aug. 14 – The body of Solomon Ressor, of Armstrong, accompanied by his wife and children, arrived here last night. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a fifer in the drum corps during his service.

Mr. Ressor lived in Union many years, working at his trade, a carpenter. Being to feeble to continue work, the son rented a farm near Armstrong two years ago, where they have since resided. There was a prayer service at the house and interment was in the Union Cemetery today.
