Arthur Williams

Arthur Williams, age 80 of Geneva, passed away Jan. 21, 2005 at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. He was born Feb. 22, 1924 in Jackson Township, Hardin County, the son of Lo and Elsie (Welsh) Williams.

He attended Hickory Grove School until his family moved in 1933. He graduated from Owasa High School in 1942. Williams then farmed with his father until his passing in 1967. He then worked on the farm with a cousin until moving to Geneva in 1974.

Williams was a member of the Geneva United Methodist Church where he served as an usher.

He is survived by nephew Don (Barb) Wohlford of Hampton; two great nephews; and one step-great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother Richard Williams.

Funeral services were held Jan. 25, 2005 at the Geneva Untied Methodist Church, with pastor Diane Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Jackson Township Cemetery near Owasa.

The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral home of Hampton was in charge of the arrangements.
