May 15, 1922-February 7, 2005

UNION—Lucille Glenn, 82, of Union died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at the Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. Funeral services are Friday, Feb. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Union. Burial will be in the Bangor Friends Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Biersborn Funeral Home in Union where family will be present from 4-6 p.m.

Lucille was born May 15, 1922, near Bangor, the daughter of Harvey E. and Minerva (Randall) Borton. The family moved to Hollandale, Minn., in 1927. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1940. The family returned to Union in 1942 and Lucille worked as a cook for several years in local restaurants. She also worked at Collegiate Manufacturing in Ames during World War II. On Nov. 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Tom Glenn in Union. The couple spent all of their married life in the Union and Bangor areas. Lucille was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school/VBS teacher, church treasurer, kitchen chairman and historian for many years.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Tom Glenn of Union; daughter Carolyn Glenn of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Archie Borton; and three sisters, Elnora Borton, Ada Harris and Leona Elliot.
