HAMPTON - Golda Hansen, 98, of Hampton died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at the Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 19, at the Hampton United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Golda was born April 22, 1905, at West Bend to Harvey and Ada Sloan. She was raised at West Bend and graduated from West Bend High School. Golda was united in marriage to John Hansen in Cedar Falls, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church, the Amvets Auxiliary and NARF.
Survivors include one son, Roger Hansen and wife JoAnn of Hampton; two grandsons, Jim Hansen of Mt. Vernon and Doug Hansen of Carlsbad, Calif.; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mae Daubendick of Decorah, Grace Lawman of Somers, Dorothy Butcher of Des Moines and Mabel Post of Belle Fourche, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; four sisters; and one brother.
