WELLSBURG - Stacey Lea Van Heiden, 44, of Wellsburg died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Memorial services were held Friday, Nov. 21, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Wellsburg, with Pastor Mark Kvale officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may by directed to the family.
Stacey was born Nov. 19, 1958, in Grundy Center to Lavern and Kay Van Heiden. She attended school in Wellsburg, graduating in 1977. She attended Drake University for two years. Stacey was employed by Principal Financial Co. for 20 years, working in the insurance section as a claims adjuster. She moved back to Wellsburg in 1997. Stacey was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Erin and Devin Higgins at home; her parents; one brother Lance Van Heiden and wife Cindy of Wellsburg; and three sisters, Marsha Van Heiden of Wellsburg; Paula Klosterboer and husband Larry of Newton, and Sarah Wagner and husband Todd of Grundy Center.
