HAMPTON - Grace I. Folkerds, 75, of Hampton died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
Grace was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Butler County to Edward and Esther (Schuller) Busma. She graduated from Shell Rock High School. On Nov. 15, 1946, she married Claus Folkerds at Hampton. Grace was a homemaker who enjoyed cleaning houses, walking, making pies and going to county fairs. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandy Noak of Hampton; two sons, Claus Folkerds Jr. and wife Sharlene and Steven Weide and wife Fonda all of Hampton; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claus; her parents; one brother, John; and one sister CoraBelle.
