ELDORA - Clara M. Huen, 87, of Eldora died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, from complications of pneumonia at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Creps-Abels Funeral home in Eldora with Pastor William Dilsaver officiating. Burial was in the Eldora City Cemetery.
Clara was born Nov. 5, 1915, at Hubbard to Henry and Meta (Brandt) Bunte. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1933. On Jan. 4, 1942, Clara was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Huen. They moved to their farm in rural Eldora and lived there all their married lives. Clara was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard. Traveling and reading were among here favorites.
Survivors include two nephews, John Bunte of Des Moines and Rick Bunte of Clackamus, Ore.; two nieces, Carolyn Ballard of Moorhead, Minn., and Mary Piper of Iowa City; and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Bunte of Pine River, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd; and two brothers, Walter Bunte and Harvey Bunte.
