IOWA FALLS - Ellen Ann Wickham, 71, of Iowa Falls died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 25, at First Christian Church in Iowa Falls with Rev. Floyd Davis officiating. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg.

Ellen was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Iowa Falls to Albert and Barbara (Fischer) Daleske. She graduated from Eldora High School in 1949 and worked at the Hardin County Savings Bank until she married Dennis Gronewold on March 20, 1953. They lived and farmed near Wellsburg until Dennis's death in 1973. Ellen left the farm and moved to Wellsburg and worked for the Grundy Center newspaper. She was office manager at Brenman Insurance Company in Wellsburg. On Oct. 16, 1999, Ellen was married to Gerald Wickham.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald; two stepchildren, Martha Cunningham of Des Moines and Dave and Carol Ducommun and their children, Devon and Derek of Woodridge, Ill.; an aunt and uncle, Clarence and Mabel Wright of Ackley; a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Richard and Ardis Ross of Des Moines; and many cousins. Ellen was preceded in death by her first husband and her parents.

The family has requested memorials be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.

Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
