HAMPTON - Edna Knoll, 80, of Hampton died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton. Memorial services will be Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ackley with Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ackley.

Edna was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Ackley to Richard and Florence (Muller) Hartema. She graduated from Ackley High School in 1942. On Dec. 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to Earl Knoll at Ackley. Edna was employed by Diamond Brothers and Bob Pies. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ackley, a chapter volunteer for FHA at the Iowa Falls Schools.

Survivors include two daughters, Maryetta Hansen of Hampton and Rosetta Knoll; and special friend Rich of Bradford; two grandchildren, Chad DeVries of Waukee and Lee Folkerds of Hampton; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Knoll and husband William of Bradford and Lillian Voy of Ackley; and one brother, Ervin Hartema of Waseca, Minn. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaugher, Angie Woltjer; two sisters, Amanda Wildeboer and Loretta Schachterle; and one brother, Laurence Hartema.

Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley is in charge of arrangements.
