DUMONT - Claude A. Moody, 83, of Dumont died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 21, at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont with Rev. Bob Scholten officiating. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 4-6 p.m.
Claude was born May 7, 1920, in Chickasaw County to Charles and Lizzy (Gerken) Moody. He attended school in rural New Hampton. On July 4, 1942, he married Frances Mahnesmith at Charles City. Claude was a farmer who took special interest in his cattle, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his faithful dog, Sweetie.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.ŠIowa Falls Times-Citizen 2005
