KNOXVILLE - Paul "Boomer" Anderson, 79, of Knoxville, formerly of Iowa Falls, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at the Knoxville Veteran's Home where he was a resident. There will be no formal services as his body was donated to medical research.

Paul was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Iowa Falls to Lewis and Edna (Buckanow) Anderson. He attended Iowa Falls schools, leaving school to serve in the US Army during WW II. He married Bessie Brinkema of Kamrar where they made their home for 30 years. They were later divorced and Paul moved back to Iowa Falls. Due to failing health, he moved into the Marshalltown Veteran's Home for a short time and then was transferred to Knoxville where he lived until his death.

Survivors include two sons, Scotty of Stratford and Lucky of Gladstone, Mo.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer "John" of Dayton, Ohio., Ernie of Iowa Falls and Harry "Pete" of Lancaster, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, June Anderson, Bernice Boltze, Pearl Nehring and Louise Ahlberg.
